Emerging Research Universities (ERUs)
Since 2012 Texas State University has been included in the “Emerging Research University” peer group established by the Texas Higher Education Board. This comparison group is used to provide standard benchmarking and accountability of institutions within the state for informing state funding and policy decisions. The list is comprised of Texas State University along with the following Texas institutions:
- Texas Tech University
- University of Houston
- University of North Texas
- University of Texas at Arlington
- University of Texas at Dallas
- University of Texas at El Paso
- University of Texas at San Antonio
